About Me

I'm a 25 year old from New York (no, not the city).  By day, I'm an assistant at a literary agency in Manhattan, slowly but surely paying off my student loans.  When I'm not reading for work or just for kicks (I read a lot...), I'm usually shopping, occasionally baking, and forever suffering from a chronic case of wanderlust.

After listening to a TED Talk about how our twenties are our "defining decade," I decided to take full advantage of what's left of my twenties to learn more about myself.  Bringing Up Brittany is a lifestyle blog where I'll share my (mis)adventures along the way.  You will find an eclectic mix of content here: from posts on my goals, recipes I've tried, places I've visited (or hope to one day), books I've read, my attempts at being stylish, and much more.

"Your twenties are your 'selfish' years.
It's a decade to immerse yourself in every single thing possible.
Be selfish with your time, and all the aspects of you.
Tinker with shit, travel, explore, love a lot,
love a little, and never touch the ground."
